On the East Coast

In Washington, D.C., Grilled Oyster Company and Epic Smokehouse both opened. Pleasant Pops Farmhouse Market and Café opens next week. Protein Bar will open a second location in spring 2013, and Coastal Flats will open an outpost in Gaithersburg in 2014. Uno Chicago Grill, Sangria Café, Bistro Bistro in Shirlington, and Daily Deli all closed.

In Philadelphia, The Boilermaker is becoming The Butcher and The Brewer; Watkins Drinkery alumna Jennifer Choplin will take over the kitchen. The original location of Lee’s Hoagie House has closed.

In Boston, El Triunfo closed its North End location.
