In Washington, D.C., Adam Goldman is the new executive chef at Masa 14. Pizzaiolo Anthony Pilla is leaving Seventh Hill Pizza for the forthcoming Ghibellina, a Tuscan gastropub. The New Orleans Po’ Boy Shop debuted, and Grilled Oyster Company opens later this month.
In Philadelphia, Mitch Prensky has left Lemon Hill. Torrisi Italian Specialties vet Eli Kulp is taking over the kitchen at Fork. Little Baby’s Ice Cream brick-and-mortar shop started scooping. Pumpkin alumnus Chris Kearse opens Will BYOB next week. Bucca Di Beppo, Sonata, and Zen-Nor all shuttered. Dolphin Tavern has closed, though the owners are hoping to raise funds so they can reopen.
In Boston, Patrizia’s Trattoria veteran Stephen Coe has been named the executive chef at BOKX 109 American Prime in the Hotel Indigo. Café Burrito, Lulu’s Sweet Shoppe, Punjabi Tadka, and steakhouse Bogie’s all opened. Otto Pizza, FroYoWorld, and Osushi will debut soon. Trattoria Cinquecento opens in early September in the former Rocca space. The Paddock shut its doors for good.
